V.strong braxton hicks started yest avo, by midnight every 10-15 mins. Went to bed, took a paracetamol as back sore too. Up coupla hours later with intermittent 'bh' type pains and periody pains, enough to wake me when they happened but only every 45 mins maybe. Fely nauseous with each one, and still sicky and bit dizzy now.....anyone offer any advice? Am due today.

someone will be along in a miin - but it's sounding hopeful!
When i was sick & dizzy i was quite far along!

could be wishful thinking as it is d day - may all fizzle out - the power of the will is amazing - warm bath, get on with something, eat. It will be here soon enough!

Sorry to butt in, but I'm always a bit confused about the hot bath idea, I'm sure I heard somewhere that in early labour it is supposed to slow it down, but I've not seen it mentioned since - is this true?

Any news, bootus?

Hot bath did not slow down my labours. They helped me get through early labour without pain relief, and, in the case of my fourth baby, I stayed in the hot bath until I had to get out to push, and only needed G&A in addition to the jet of hot water from the shower on my stomach during contractions (that's good for a wimp like me).

Hope your labour is progressing well bootus. The lack of posts here speaks well.
