I would go to the hospital today to make sure that everything is alright.

lulumama · 28/08/2008 15:20

water can leak before baby is engaged

are you sure it is amniotic fluid? not wee or discharge?

best to be checked out if your waters may have leaked.

put a pad on and see if anything is still leaking, amniotic fluid smells and looks different to wee

biglips · 28/08/2008 15:23

not wee as no smell and not discharge cos it was like water.

it just came out when i wasnt expecting it. (i was getting dressed this morning) so its best to go to the hosp today?

I think so, (not a midwife btw!)considering the baby is breech.

lulumama · 28/08/2008 15:26

is it still leaking? it is unlikely to be your forewaters breaking as they tend to go with a big gush. it could be a hindwater leak, but all the same you need to be checked out

lulumama · 28/08/2008 15:27

give hospital a call, they will advise you

aurorec · 28/08/2008 15:29

I was told that if there was any suspect leak, to go in just to make sure.
Lulu's right, give them a call and see what they say.

biglips · 28/08/2008 15:36

ill give them a call now

and no...no more leaks since this morning apart from my knickers is abit wet atm

lulumama · 28/08/2008 15:50

i rang and they asked me questions and asked me if my waters had gone but i said i dont know (As with my DD i was induced) so they told me to put a towel on and keep an close eye on it, if any more water then go in the hosp. They have put the dets on my record of this phone convo incase anything happens.

if you have stopped leaking then don;t panic.. keep an eye on it.. use a maternity pad as stuff does not soak in and disappear immediately as with those dry weave regular sanitary pads

slinkiemalinki · 28/08/2008 19:06

My waters never broke in a gush, I had two leaks, and the MWs talked about hindwaters (and the usual you must have wet yourself blah blah) yet when I was scanned the forewaters had all gone - you should definitely call them biglips, hope it goes ok.

biglips · 28/08/2008 19:40

eek!..

ooh im panicking now!!

ive been dry since ive put my mat towel on.
