what preg test are you using? sainsburys and asda are most sensitive so if you want a stronger line try those but i would say you are preg and doc test just isnt very sensitive.

electra · 24/08/2008 02:09

I agree with nappyaddict - the test my GP used was very faint but a week later was much darker.

Hi ive used reveal the cheap ones that you get from chemist for about 3 pounds and then a predictor one from morrisons!I'm confused because the test i dis were def pos but took about 5 mins to show up so think the doctors dipped, looked and chucked(to quote my hub)Just wanted to know one way or the other its driving me mad! Thanks for reply x

If you have had positives then you are, or have been preg. It's not impossible that you conceived and it didn't implant properly or that the GP's test was not as sensitive? Wait a week and if still no period take another one.

My GP didnt do a pg test once I'd had a +ve HPT because he said they were far more reliable and sensitive than the ones they did in the surgery so I'd go with your test results. False +ves are very rare so to get 6 would be almost impossible.

Congratulations .

I had a v. faint line on first test I took. I then went and bought the digital one that tells you preg or not pg. I would recommend one of these as it certainly took away an eliment of doubt for me. My doctors dont do tests anyway so they take your word for it.

lauraloola · 24/08/2008 11:00

My GP did my HCG levels. Have you had these done? If they rise loads in a few days then you are defo pg.

wellbalanced · 24/08/2008 11:04

I did cheap test that was faint ish, but i knew i was (had a funny feeling so to speak) so i bought a clearblue digi test and when the word PREGNANT came up i was so happy i was right. They are expensive but worth it, i bought a 2pk just incase i wasnt!!!

My doctor also said that the home tests were so reliable that he didnt need to do a test.

Congratulations!
