Paracetomol and wheezing baby? RIB PAIN!

Has anyone heard this about taking too much paracetomol (sp??) during pregnancy causing a baby to be born wheezing/with asthma? Is this true, does anyone know?

I'm having MASSIVE rib pain... feels like a pulsating headache by the time I go to bed and some days I just NEED some pain relief. Ribs are more sensitive than I would have thought

I've tried different positions and techniques to dislodge the baby from the right side of my ribs... and it works well, but then he's right back up there within the hour!
I'm 33 weeks tomorrow.

I have not heard that. I had SPD and was told that I could take 2 paracetamols every four hours without any problems for the baby. Where did you hear/read it?

I had a look on the Net and all I can find it lots of news articles based on a non-conclusive piece of research back in 2002. It is safe to assume that 6 years later the advice to pregnant women would have changed so i would not worry.

I know what you feel with the ribs, I used to physically push baby's bum down

I think sticking to stated dose is fine.
I had spd and appendix out at 22 weeks
Paracetamol was pretty much all I was allowed!
Non wheezing children too

Thanks. I don't remember where I read this, actually, but I had only looked into it because Dh said he heard about it from someone else.

This probably is not the case, but if this pain builds up over a couple of days be aware that there is the posibility that it oould be HELLP syndrome. Symptom of this is pain on the right side.

I did get this and it was an intense pain just under my bottom right ribs, which was excrutiating and took several days to build up. Doctor did not diagnose and it was only after going into A&E and having a blood test was it revealed (enzyme in the blood).

Thanks Helen16... did the pain fade when baby was moved, though? Since it's not painful once baby is moved from there, I feel like maybe it's just him? I have an appointment on wednesday, though so I'll ask about it then. Thanks for the advice

Pain used to fade off then come back, time period shortened and pain grew more intense in all in about 4/5 days. Thought babys feet were stuck under my ribs to start with.
