Just wondering if anyone has seen any quote quotes for joining, if there were any freebies!

You will most likely get a couple of samples of fairy fabric softener and even a muslin square if you are lucky. In return for this generous offering, they have your name and address that they sell on to just about EVERY childrelated advertiser in the UK, and you will be FLOODED with junk mail.

Once or twice a year you get to pick up your bounty pack in either boots, or mothercare, or some other local place. If, and it is a very dubious if, there are ANY left, there will be maybe another fabric conditioner sample, or maybe one weaning spoon, or even a little pot of Heinz banana pure if you are lucky, along with brochures and advertisement. I never got any further bounty packs than that very first. EITHER there were none left, OR you had to bring with you a special letter that said it was your turn to pick one up, and even if you did bring your letter and you could see the bags there, you can be sure there was something else you needed to bring, and you would any way walk away empty handed.

But that is just my experience.

I am sure others will be a long shorty and tell you it is glorious!

I got the first two Bounty packs - the first from my midwife who said "Don't get too excited - the most useful bit is the white plastic folder which you should keep your notes in in case you spill stuff over them." She was right. Although I've spilt coffee over the notes about 3 times, so the folder was handy...

After trying about 4 different Boots branches (hint: don't bother in anything less than a large store, and not in a railway station), I got the next one! Useful contents included tiny pot of Sudocrem, one nappy, one maternity pad, and one dose of laundry detergent.

My SIL got the one at birth, which added an extra couple maternity pads, a pack of about 5 babywipes which smell terrible, one more nappy and a sachet of Ovaltine.

The recycling bin got all the rest. I'm resolved to try to hide from all the junk mail. The free mags in the antenatal waiting room have more discount codes if I did want expensive maternity/babywear, etc.
