So how close are they to inventing a better remedy for Morning Sickness? Because I would quite like another baby...!

I'm holding my horses and waiting for a medical advance...swore I could never go through 15 weeks of it again (or put my children through it)

They have a good drug called Unisom in the states but not over here, think it's a combo of B6 and Phenergan (promethazine) and you can get it in Spain pparently as well...but other than importing a whole raft of that, and is it any good anyway - what can one do?

Has anyone actually tried Unisom or vitamin B6 - did it work?

I'd love another baby one day, just not sure if I could cope as it made me very very ill both times.

Hi Fanlight, This is my second pregnancy and i can see exactly where you are coming from. I has horrendous morning sickness with dd up until 17 weeks. I am now 8 weeks and am suffering again. I am delighted to be pregnant, but this feeling is awful. I rang my midwife and explained that i dont think i can cope with another 9 weeks of this! I have an appointment at the doctor next week to discuss anti sickness tablets. If I get them and they work i can let you know somehow. Perhaps I can put a thread on. I go to the doctors tuesday.

It was nice of you to answer. I hope they will prescribe you something...I ended up having various things - something called Stemetil, which was Ok, didn't stop it completely but might have taken the edge off.

Also a few others. I think if you have hyperemesis (very very bad m/s) they can prescribe Zofran (ondansetron) but this is a v expensive drug so they try not to!

Don't let them tell you it's unsafe to take anything - it isn't - lots of people take phenergan as well, which is given to children for travel sickness, so pretty safe

Thanks, sorry its been so long in replying, i have been suffering with msickness real bad. I went to the doctor and she would not give me anything and said that hopefully it would not be as bad as my first pregnancy!
Anyway, I have improved slightly and have stopped being sick , 3 days now, but still am nauseous most of the time. I have been using sea bands on my wrists, they seem to work! I am too afraid to take them off now, in case the sickness come back! Thanks for the info Leonie d
