Which Date Given Two Now?

Hiya

I had my twelve week scan and it was difficult to see because of my body habitus (code for fat) and was given a date of 16th November.

Im now 26 weeks and had a 4d private scan with a growth scan, and they gave me a due date of 7th november

so which do I go with roughly

my periods have never been regular and were always a different number of days in length and apart.

so Im a bit lost

Go with the later one for the purposes of avoiding being induced? I doubt the hospital will change your notes on the basis of a private scan anyway - they will probably stick with the first (later) date.

16th Nov. Dating isn't as accurate after around 16 weeks, as babies start to grow at different rates.

The first one, definitely

I would imagine that by 26 weeks it is harder to be so precise.

I would imagine that your midwife will be going by the first one anyway, I'm not sure that they would accept a private 26 week scan as good enough reason to change your dates.
