Have no idea of EDD so when am I likely to have a dating scan?

I found out last Thurs that I am pregnant but due to no periods between coming off the pill and conceiving I don't really know when my edd is, although I think I have a rough idea of when I ovulated. Has anyone had similar experiences? How long did you have to wait for a scan?

I had no idea when my EDD was either.

I ended up having my dating scan at 14 weeks, I think you're meant to have it at 12 weeks but I was late going to the doctors as I didn't know I was pregnant.

Book an appointment at the doctors. Tell you're GP you're not sure of you're dates and she try to work out how many weeks you are and organise you're scan for you.

I had this (conceived while on pill). GP was trying to book me in for a 12-week scan; I kept saying 'but I don't know how pregnant I am! how will I know when I'm at 12 weeks?' Eventually he conceded the wisdom of this () and agreed to my demand request that I be sent for a dating scan asap. At which I found I was seven weeks pg.

So, in summary - just get them to send you for a scan now!

Ok everyone, thanks for the info!I am planning to ring docs tomorrow and book apt. Then I will beg and plead for dating scan asap! If all else fails I will go private. I need to know or I will drive myself insane

i also had this as i conceived after breastfeeding and no periods. The doc sent in a request for a dating scan and the hospital midwives determined when the best time would be. Had my scan at 10 weeks in the end. Just make sure your doc acts on your request xx

They use your rough dates to guess when you would be 12 weeks and send you in around that time IME
