Hi

Spoke to the MW and she say's to just rest and keep my feet up as my blood pressure is fine!
So just trying to takeit easy!

I'm at the point now where i've had enough and want this baby here!

Gem1355 - Total sympathy and understand from me! I started drinking Raspberry Leaf Tea and bouncing on my Birthing ball from 35 weeks onwards. Ddd arrived at 39 wks despite worries of a premature birth. Swelling and cramping are a right nuisance. They can make you feel like a china doll that can't do anything without needing to put your feet up in case you break!

Get lots of puzzle books.... that helped me for the last few weeks. I'd be awake at 4am doing a codebreaker!

In 4 wks time you'll be wanting those cramping pains to come back! It'll be over before you know, I know it doesn't feel like that now. I wish I had savoured every moment of my pregnancy with Dd coz it might be my last.

Good luck with the last few weeks!

I have had two babies born at 31 and 33 weeks, believe me, you don't want that baby now. I had to watch my Dd1 struggle to survive and go blue after every feed. Because of her prematurity she has Cerebral palsy, behaviuor issues, learning disabilities, and problems with her eye sight, and possibly her hearing, Count yourself lucky that you are holding the baby in and don't wish it out yet.
Rest up and enjoy the peace, it won't be long till the baby is here and there will be no peace.

No my hands go tingly alot, but my legs don't they just look like elephants feet

i think at the mo as the baby's head engaged the cramps are him/her hitting my cervix and also thumping my left side which is causing more pain, baby very active today!

Maybe it's all that ice creami had for lunch

jabberwocky · 14/02/2005 19:12

My hands were tingly too. It is or can be a temporary carpal tunnel syndrome. The joys of pregnancy...

Gem1355 · 14/02/2005 19:13

What's that?

OP posts:
jabberwocky · 14/02/2005 19:26

It's where the swelling causes a nerve in your radius (I think that's right) bone to become compressed, hence the tingling. I believe I was about the same week along as you when mine started. It went away after having the baby and didn't bother me that much. Just kind of annoying.

Gem1355 · 14/02/2005 19:27

Oh How people enjoy being pregnant i'll never know!

OP posts:
jabberwocky · 14/02/2005 19:29
