Maternity grant ...

People keep saying this has gone up,

Im 99% sure it hasn't but then someone will say 'so and so got £700' etc

Im sure its £500.

Any ideas?

They will only have been given £500. The rest could be crisis loan/ other one off grant? Altenativley they could be speaking from their posterior

AFAIK (recently advised friend) it is still £500, look here - scroll halfway down, the form is there too

there may be other thinks as diffID says, but the link is proof of the actual SSMG rate
