sever tiredness and hyperemesis without the vomiting? Anyone else had this?

Hi 7 weeks pregnant with dc no2.
Had normal ms with dd1 until about 13 weeks.

However with this baby it seems much worse.this week I was admitted to hospital with dehydration following 2 days of vomiting and lethergy
I had a drip for 24 hours and was discharged last night with anti emetics cyclizine.

I feel like death- I am drinking normal and eating a little (1 slice of toast and 2 richtea biscuits) but I cant seem to get the energy to move from my bed. I feel sick, dizzy and to be honest I want it all to end

Please help me see light at the end of the tunnel. its the extreme tiredness thats killing me not being able to walk around, is this normal?

No experience of drug treatment for sickness (though have been vvv sick) but could it be the anti-sickness meds? I think they can be pretty vile.

You should consult your doctor about that level of lethargy though IMVHO. If it's the drugs perhaps they could be changed. There could be something else going on?

I had horrible side effects from the tablets they gave me for hyperemesis. I took them for a few more days following my discharge from hospital, but then decided I'd rather be sick than take the tablets.

I was much better by that point though, I was able to keep enough fluids down to stop me being readmitted.

I have had hyperemesis twice now and it is awful. I did just want to give up and at it worst points I almost wished for a miscarriage even though both my pregnancies were very much planned and wanted.

I spent nearly 3 weeks confined to bed before I felt well enough to get up for very short periods of time. PLease don't be too hard on yourself. I think what you are describing sounds very normal. Do you have help with your dd? My ds is 3 and luckily when I was at my worst my dp was on holiday for 2 weeks.

I am now 23 weeks and whilst I still have days when I feel pretty awful it is so much better than at the beginning. I am enjoying my pregnancy now.

All I can reccomend is rest, just eat and drink what you can (I can still only eat what I fancy, anything else just gets bought back up). But contact your doctor if you feel you are getting worse. There are other drugs you can have if the ones you've got aren't suitable. Also just being dehydrated really messes with your head and body.

You could be describing my second pregnancy. I had never experienced tiredness like it. It gradually improved. I knew I was feeling more like myself when, at about 15 weeks, I asked my dad if he fancied going the football! The only advice I can give is the listen to your body. It will pass. Best of luck.

it cnat be a side effect of the drugs as I felt this tired before I took the drugs.
It takes all my energy just to go to the toilet or make a drink and the smells in the house are making me feel like being sick.
even my adorable darling dogs are banned from coming anywhere near me as their smell makes me feel ill

how do i keep myself from going insane I have only been in bed for 48 hours and already going demented

This was me at the start of my pg! You poor thing, I do hope it passes for you soon.

Good news - it just switched off at 14 weeks. 33 weeks now, and have been fine (fingers crossed) since.

Bad news - I was in and out of hospital for 6 weeks. The longest I was in for was 2 weeks and 2 days. I threw up everything I swallowed - water, biccies, everything. The only anti emetic that worked was stemitil as an injection in my thigh, and that was only because it made me sleep for hours.

I got through 6 weeks in bed with a lot of sleeping and radio 2! that's all I could manage. I couldn't even get out of bed to watch tv.
