Hi

I have been recommended Bambino Direct by my NCT Friend as being the cheapest supplier of a Maxi Cosi Tobi car seat.

I read a few of the reviews on Mumsnet but decided I would go with my friends recommendation.

I ordered the car seat last Thursday, received a confirmation email straight away, then a day later I received an email confirming the car seat would be with us the following week.

I have just recieved it this morning Monday

Ordered Thursday and received Monday.

Not bad!

Caroline

i ordered a Silver Cross Sleepover pram from there, it was the cheapest i've seen it for £500 i placed my order on 2nd april i then recieved an email saying it is being processed and have heard nothing since (now the 9th April)
To be honest i'm quite worried it's either not gonna turn up or it's goin to be late as i'm heavily pregnant and am due in 2 weeks!!
I want to ring but i don't want to seem a pain!:/ x

i have had a nightmare with bambino direct, I ordered a bugaboo bee package at the end of Jan. After i ordered it i read all the negative posts here and got concerned so cancelled the order the next day. Got no email to cay it had been cancelled but "mary" from customer services assured me that the cancellations team would process it. Sure enough a couple of days later my account status was changed to "cancelled". So all good ...or so i thought. At the end of Feb I got my CC statement and i had been charged £519. This is despite Bambino direct saying that they do not charge the card until the goods have been dispatched. I called customer services and spoke to the infamous "Paul" who told me he would process the refund immediately and that i would get a confirmation email. Typically no email came. To this date my credit card company are still chasing them for the money. Luckily i paid with a credit card I know plenty of people have paid by debit card and have been left out of pocket by hundreds of pounds.
My advice would be to avoid like the plague and report these cowboys to trading standards and consumer direct. Too many people have posted on mumsnet about problems so imagine how many other poor should have also been conned who haven't posted here.

I've had similar problems. I will also be seeking advice from trading standards. Thanks for the tip!
