How about a great big chocolate (or favourite flavour) CAKE with lots of (favourite flavour) mint chocolate chip ice cream and fudge sauce?
And a long, relaxing massage from dh/dp AND a professional.
Or a spa day with a close friend or two or five?

great big choc cake sounds good, dh has day off but just feel like being on own and crying, feel very sad and sorry for myself at the moment. don't think i could manage the health spa, too big!

Long bath with scented oil, cooked breakfast, dvd lying on the sofa, out for pub lunch just the two of you and a short walk. Home for a sleep, get him to cook dinner, go to bed early. Sorry you're not feeling great - make sure he makes a fuss of you.

sorry I keep forgetting that those last weeks are not exactly weeks in which you want to be in a health spa! I've never been pg before - sorry about that

that was me in march but i already had a dd, im thinking this is your first?

my plan was to go out for a child free dinner and see a film in cinema as no one had ever babysat an evening for us before

but i felt ill and just had my parents over for takeaway pizza and to watch dd help me blow out candles

then of course ds was late!

have ds, so would like to spend day with him too maybe, like the sound of scented bath and chilling out, maybe we could go for a picnic somewhere, might need to take a comfy chair though!

Why not have a couple of friends round for a curry and some tasty alcool free cocktails? Get them to paint your toenails and watch a funny film. Curry and laughter, great for getting things moving! Hope you have a lovely birthday

I had my birthday at 39 weeks. ( now 41 weeks!)

Crazily we had all the family up for a bbq. Was a busy day but a nice one.

Agree that a picnic sounds nice if the weathers good.

Trampolining, bungee jumping.....or perhaps not.

Afternoon tea at a posh hotel? Cakes and buns and posh little sandwiches with the crusts cut off is about as much fun as you can have at 39 weeks, no?

If you get the right place you can pretend you are a lady what lunches from the 1920s...
