oh my lord I think I may be pg with unplanned third child - yikes

Feeling very pregnant i.e nauseous all the time, sore boobs. There is a strong possibility I could be. Haven't tested yet but I just "feel" so pregnant. Haven't told DH - he will FREAK. I am freaking. Have two DD's already, little one starting school, me going back to work - this is not what we had planned. Anyone else been in this boat? How did your DH's come to terms with it? How did you come to terms with it?!

You need to test to make sure first! I had gone back to work after 15 yrs and had 3 children my youngest was 12 just started secondary school. I found a great job locally worked for 2 years then BANG I found out I was pregnant. You will come to terms with it if you need to and you will cope. You just have to

Perhaps you're not...do a test! Now! Go get one!

(sits at home with 2 DCs under 3, hoping you have the same food illness bug I did this week because it's exactly like being morning sick...)

Just do the test.

You might be worrying over nothing.

Plenty of people have unplanned babies.

I am in exactly the same boat! My hubby had had a vasectomy though - so we REALLY weren't planning anymore DCs! Myeldest is due to start school in September and my youngest is starting Preschool aswell.

I just knew I was pregnant too - did a test though as there was an element of disbelief.

Once the shock had subsided we were v pleased - although am now grappling with severe morning sickness!

DS3 was unplanned. I had just started work and had only been there a month. DH was fine (is very laid back). I freaked. Hated pregnancy with DS2 so knew I would not enjoy this one. It took me ages to come to terms with it. I was not depressed or anything, just f**cked off that I had been so stoopid (took a calculated risk re contraception). Also, it didn't help that I was sick throughout the pregnancy and had to look after a 5 year old (hated the school run when tired and sicky) and a 14 month old.

However, since he was born 15 months ago (brilliant homebirth) I have never regretted having him. It can be hard work sometimes, but seeing the three of them together makes me realise that my family is now complete [barf]
You will be fine, try no to worry.

PS - all the mums I know who have 3 children have said that their 3rd was not planned!

Blondie79 - did I read that right? Your hubby had the snip and now you are pregnant?

Blondie - it happens - we had this in January (2 1/2 yrs after snip) but miscarried. The worst thing is that dh results are still neg so marie Stopes won't re-do (they presume affair I think - def dh though!!)

That is out of order that they assumed you had cheated.

My hubby had the snip and I still convince myself I am pg if I am a minute late. Last month I was 4-5 days so was really worrying.

DH and i took a risk in february (BFing and cycle around 8 weeks). I OV'd two days later. We talked about it and decided by the time I got to the chemist for the morning after pill it would be getting on for the 72 hour cut off so didn;t bother on the grounds that I wouldn't be (am 39 too so age against us). Started testing 10 days after that...got negatives for about four days andthen ping...BFP. We were kind of resigned to it by that point though and had talked about the pros and cons (I had already decided I wasn't going back to work due to depression ishoos). Am now 24 weeks and although worried about my health and financial issues, am very excited about it.

DH had said definately no more children after DD (I wouldn;t have minded but was happy with the decision to stop at two) and was going to book in for the snip, so I was worried about how he would take it, but he was more calm about it all than I was.

It'll be tough (especially on me as DH works away three or four nights a week), but I feel now that our family will be complete now.

but enough of that....GET A TEST!

Yes Itati - although my DH never went for the results to confirm that it had worked.

Itati - they didn't say it as scuh but reading between the lines of the conversation..... I can see their point though - if the test is still neg from their side it was still a sucessful snip. It's just a bit difficult though as I still worry about it on most months.

Ha ha - he certainly isn't a fool and and I'm just as much to blame as I wasn't that bothered that he hadn't been. Besides we feel very blessed to be expecting another child and I am a strong believer in things happen for a reason.

Because we were serious - but then other things cropped up and he never got round to getting the results. plenty of people will tell you that even though their DH has had the snip they still want another - even years later.

I didn't but I am still happy about it even with the morning sickness.

but unplanned doesnt mean unwanted, he'll get used to the idea- probably - if not if its what you want then you'll cope anyway, good luck- and do the test!!!

I know that. I would have loved more myself if my health had allowed it, seems atrange to have an op and then not check if it worked though. JMO. Hope you fell less sick now.

hi i did test on tue and am expecting very unplanned dc3! am very scared as had horrible pregnancy with ds and awful birth! but hey ho cant change it now and wouldnt want to!good luck either way!

am pregnant with a very unplanned DC3 haven't told DH yet, had just decided not to have any more children.

not going to tell him till after the weeekend

tested - negative. Phew. Still no sign of a period though so will test again in a few days. I really do feel pregnant, must be the PMS from hell. I am on the mini pill which I take continuously with no break so I don't have actual periods as such which makes it all a bit trickier to judge. But I am crap at taking it - so off to the docs for a Mirena I think! Sorry prettycupcake to hear your news - let us know how things go with DH and good luck x
