Engaged head - what does it mean?

I'm 39 weeks pregnant with no.2 and just been to see midwife. She reckons 2/5s of the baby's head is palpable, the rest is in the pelvis. Does this mean labour is imminent or could it still be a couple of weeks away?

Doesn't mean a huge amount - obviously it's good that the baby is well in position, but doesn't necessarily indicate labour anytime especially soon - sorry!
