Risk membrane sweep

Am 41 weeks tomorrow. Have membrane sweep booked in.

A friend told me that the MW should not do it if the head is not permanently engaged because of the risk of cord prolapse.

Anyone else know anything definite about this?

Haven't found all that much on the web. There seems to be some discussions that ARM when the head is not engaged, does lead to risk of cord prolapse.

I'm not really clear about the risk of a sweep for cord prolapse.

I'm a bit p*ssed off. She should have told me if there was a risk. Will discuss it with her tomorrow.
