How many appointments should I have with my midwife?

I am 22 weeks and after a booking in appointment at 10 weeks I saw my midwife at 16 weeks and I am not seeing her until 28 weeks. I couldnt get an appointment this week to see my midwife so I ended up seeing my doctor, but I am concerned that I havent had my urine tested and have lots of questions i would like to ask her. This is my first baby so maybe I am just being neurotic, but is 12 weeks between appointments excessive?

I think it should be more often than that but I don't remember the details. Have you got your handheld notes? In mine it had a list of when you should see the midwife in first then subsequent pg. Although if you have a scan at 20 weeks you'd see a midwife then as well I imagine, which will make it half the time.

I saw mine for my booking in today and mine is that same as you.

Now, then 16 weeks, then 28.

They did give me a list of phone numbers and told me to call in case I was concerned about anything.

Gosh my grammar is dreadful.

I've checked my notes but it doesnt say anything and at the 20 week scan it was a sonographer and she didnt say much other than that there was no anomolies which was obviously music to my ears, but I have had 5 scans in all due to an erosion of my cervix and having had 2 miscarriages in the not so distant past but again they have all been sonographers who advise me that everything is okay it is only have been admitted through A&E and ringing my doctor that I have had these extra scans and not through the midwife. Perhaps I should just wrestle with my surgeries receptionist to get an appointment.

Thanks for your help I think I will bite the bullet and make an appointment to see her earlier, my minor concerns need reassurance.
