Anti-D injections - confused and worried

i thought that anti-d injections take place at 28 weeks and 34 weeks - my midwife booked me in for what I thought was my 1st injection, had the appointment come through from the hospital and I'll be 31 weeks - I called to check and apparently they only do one injection, not two! am a bit confused and worried - anyone else heard about this? I'm booked in at Tommies in London

Had my booking in appointment yesterday and was told the same thing. In my last pregnancy 3 years ago I had anti-d at 28 weeks and 34 weeks. It's now changed to just a single injection during pregnancy at 28 weeks. It's a double dose though, and is meant to act as an equivalent for the old later dose. I asked about this, and was told it was for 'economic' reasons . Sounds about right...

ah ok - i'd not heard from anyone else having just one injection so thanks for reassurance it's not just my stingy hospital!

Same here, I had two injections four years ago but now I've only to have one injection at 28 weeks (my 5th baby)... by the way, ask whoever is giving you the injection to give it in your thigh, it hurts far less than having it in your arm (a tip that worked from a lovely newly qualified midwife) .

I too had to have an anti-D injection. Had it after the birth, not before!

Im booked to have mine at about 28 weeks, only having the one. When i was preg with DS they never gave me Anti D until after he was born.
