Sharp Stabbing Pains???

Hi I am due to book in with mw tomorrow, i dont know dates anywhere between 8-12 wks, I was advised not to have another pg due to the state of my uterus due to my cs's, (lots of scar tissue and damage) however this is wee accident - sorry for waffle - anyway last couple of days I have been getting a few stabbing pains at and around site of scar - today they are very bad and uncomfy, no bleeding or anything - is it anything out of te ordinary or completely normal?

thanks ladies, 2 sections 1 of those a classic section, it had eased of for half hour but is now back again, going to try a warm bath once ds is asleep

sharp stabbing pains around the scar could be normal, in that women do experience them when the scar tissue is having to stretch to accomodate a new pregnancy.. but bearing in mind you were advised not to get pregnant again,and you are having pains, i would call someone and see if you can get checked out today.... when was your last c.s and how many have you had?

how are you feeling now? if you are worried or the pain is getting worse, then you should really be checked out. was your clasical incision with teh last c.s

yes it was, its nbot getting any better or worse, its just very sharp stabbing pains, I have taken some dihydrocodiene which I take for something else and the pains are still pretty sharp, I would have hoped it would have taken the edge off

Just had another one so going to call mw

I had an emergency c section with ds and am now almost 11 weeks pg with no.2.
I have suffered with these types of pains before I was pg and am now getting some very light pain whilst pg.
Have a chat with your doctor/Midwife for advice. Are you having another section this time round?

mumfor1 these are a bit worse that that the usual cs after pains which it why its concerning me, will update in a bit

I know how uncomfortable things can be, but you do sound like you are struggling.

i all doc has made me an appt for a scan at the EPU on monday 10.30 in case of ectopic, it may just be a case of overdoing it - I'm here on my todd at the mo as dp working away and my 1yr old is a bit hefty to keep picking up - my mum has come to stay the night and has put me on "resting orders" lol
will update again on monday if theres no news before

hmm.. if the pain gets worse, you have pain in your shoulder tip on the same side as the pain, and you start bleeding,especially dark blood, then please get to A&E or EPU as soon as possible. otherwise, rest up and good luck for your appointment on monday

Just updating the scan wasnt good news, the baby measures 7.5 wks altho not sure what it should measure as I didnt know lmp i was sure it was more than that and the hb is very slow and baby unlikely to make it, have an appt for 2 weeks to be scanned again but they expect me to mc in the mean time
