I have to cover the cot mattress etc before DC arrives as we have cats plus normal house dust etc. Do you think there's any prob with just putting the whole thing in to a big bin liner?

Sorry for wierd beginner question!

Sounds fine to me.

I saw a programme the other day about restaurants and the storage of goods in dustbin bags is forbidden as the evho said that some bags are treated with insecticide....

I would use a large clean sheet.

I have heard the same as GGG.

With my first, we took it straight out the plastic wrapper and put it in the cot with a fitted sheet on.
We just changed the sheet when dd needed to go in it.

Oh crap. I just got all of my baby stuff out of loft for number 2's arrival. Most was wrapped in bin liners!

I'm sure it will be fine.

Oh bollocks - I don't think I have anything else. Has the damage been done? It's been wrapped in it for about 3 weeks.

Just take it out and air it.

Have you got a rotary dryer outside or maybe a couple of washing lines?
You can balance the mattress across them to let it get plenty of air.

It'll be fine though. Dont go out buying a new one!

I can air it inside - it's raining cats and dogs here!
