Back pain relief

According to my dr my baby is resting on a nerve and this is supposedly causing the horrific backache i have at the minute! Anyone experienced anything like this that could offer me some pain relief advice? I'm sooooooooooo uncomfortable!!

Yep, I was there! I used lots of heat and that helped me. Hope it gets sorted soon

does sitting on/leaning over birtball give any relief or are you way past that sort of thing working? I found it helped a lot with sciatica/spd and was the onl place I could be comfortable. In particular sitting on a birth ball and leaning over the back of a chair in front of me.

No that helped release things a little, spent a lot of the second trimester on all fours looking like a novelty coffee table!

I suffered with bad sciatica with my 1st pregency and towards the end i was on crutches to reduce the weight i was carring around. Back pain in pregnancy is horrible but there was noting strong enough that i could take to help.
Nice warm baths and a hot water bottle helped too.

Im hoping it wont come back this time round but it probably will.

Try changing your posture? Osteopath?

Lie on the floor on your back, bring your knees up to your tummy (as far as you can!) and hold your legs there then rock on your back from side to side.

Don't know if it will help your type of back pain but it does help mine, its heaven!

I'm 7 months pregnant and massive, if i get on the floor there is a fair chance i won't get back up until someone brings a crane round haha

I've applied heat and it relieves it a little - can I use deep heat during pregnancy?
