just wondering if anyone has any idea....

We have just upped and moved from Sussex to Nr. Colchester Essex, am 11 weeks, registered with new doc monday 30th june. how long from filling out forms to get me into the maternity system?

Sort of thought might have had a call from midwife by now, as will be 12 weeks on Tuesday and obviously itching to have a Scan and check all is well?!?!

Also, anyone having had maternity care at Colchester? Are there any birthing centres around? or is the general hospitial my best option?

sorry for all the questions! x

Make an appointment to see MW

Colchester is a fab hospital. Loved having DD2 there.

Wasnt so impressed with the post-natal ward, so get out as soon as you can.... or maybe it was because she was my second I was left to it a lot.

BF help and advice was rubbish.... their idea of help in hospital was to shove baby onto nipple and when after 25mins nothing happened they went away and said try again later.

Hence DD2 was FF as soon as I left hospital.

The actual care during birth though was fantastic and DD2 was my best birth of 3.

Ah, i got the impression from Doc, given how many contact numbers he wanted someone would call me!

I guess i'll call Doc monday and Chase up. Or perhaps Tues once actually 12 weeks!

Thanks milknosugar
