Horrible dog tiredness after pregnancy?

For the last little while, I am just dog tired. I can hardly function. Starting a new job next week and it definitely isn’t nerves.

Went to the gym this morning and had to put the weights down and walk out. I felt ready to collapse. It wasn’t a case of a cold morning/early start tiredness. I felt physically exhausted.

I am usually full of energy and sleep well at night. Currently I am napping in the day, having to skip my usual swim and weight training and sleeping 9+ hours at night.

Have put a request in to speak to a GP. Do you think a blood test request is reasonable? To check FBC, folate etc

Lost baby at about 9 weeks, complete miscarriage as at hospital saw baby and sac come away. Had quite bad bleeding for a while so wondering if this is the cause

I suspect your iron levels have dropped. That can cause ungodly tiredness.

Thank you, I’ll mention this.

I was fine after the actual loss, didn’t feel tired at all. It’s about 5 weeks I think? On from that and in the last week I’ve been struggling, and the last few days have been brutal.

Still blessing on and off. But have a coil and was told this could be normal when it was fitted

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Miscarriage is absolutely dreadful to experience and I’m sending you the warmest hugs.

Yes get iron levels checked, specifically request ferritin as they don’t always check it. You can have mildly low haemoglobin levels with catastrophic ferritin which can make you feel like the absolute pits (in my experience).

Hope you feel better soon.
