Balanced Translocation in Pregnancy - looking for some early pregnancy support

Hi. I have a balanced translocation with chromosomes 1 and 18. I have known for years but now im pregnant my anxiety has increased massively!
I dated myself from lmp 6 weeks 4 days on Saturday so had an early scan for reassurance. They found gestational sac and yolk sac but no embryo. They said this is good for earlier pregnancy and I may have got dates wrong but with the chromosome translocation I can't help but worry its blighted ovum. I feel nauseous and tired but I know blighted ovum you still get symptoms.

Does anyone else have a balanced translocation on here that can share any experiences please? Feels quite a lonely place at the minute

Thank you!

Hi there,
Sorry, we couldn't really see your post going unanswered so we've stepped in to push it back up the queue and to change the title a little so it might seem less science and more support. Hoping for you. x

I don't have experience of translocation, sorry, but wanted to say I have fingers crossed for you.

6 weeks and 4 days is very early to be confident in an ultrasound and I'd be hopeful that you have a positive scan in a week or so which shows you a bouncy bean. Early days of pregnancy are so tough, hold on in there x

Hey. I found out I have balanced translocation of chromosomes 1 and 7 in January this year.

I only got tested as I had 4 miscarriages and wanted to know why.

However I'm now 26wks on a successful pregnancy so I didn't investigate further.
The genetics team told me I'd need IVF but so far so good.
