I am!!

I may sound really moany but I am 8 weeks pregnant and really sick (morning, afternoon and night and through the night), the doctor has put me on tablets to stop the sickness, and it has helped alot aslong as I dont actually put anything in my mouth. So aslong as I dont eat, brush my teeth or take the tablets then I am ok. My teeth have gone a horrible yellow colour and with all the sickness I cant even think about going to the dentist. My face has broken out with the worst case of spots that I have ever had. If I sit down for longer than two minutes then I am asleep so feel 128 instead of 28 and my boyf works nights so when I get home from work he is just going to work so I cant even moan on his shoulder.

I just wondered if anyone else is in the same situation and wants to chat because if I know I am not the only person I think I may actually feel better.

xx

Ditto... although my doctor wont even give me any tablets, as couldnt find anything without a warning about early pregnancy. So i'm just roughing it out. At least its sickness for a reason!

Although i dont know that me feeling the same helps you too much, as i'm almost 12 weeks and STILL feeling like it!!

My mum was like that in all 3 of her pregnancies, I feel sick and sorry for myself but not at your level at the moment. I often feel dreadful and in my first pregnancy got worse later (not better), hope it's different for you.

Someone I know from my first antenatal thread is pregnant again, due soon after me and is currently signed off work due to the tiredness and sickness - and she has twins of 15 months and another dc to cope with.

Have you joined the antenatal thread for others due the same month as you? (I'm guessing February 2009).

I felt like SHITE and stayed in bed for the best part of 4 months, enduring all the 'you'll feel better after 12 weeks' comments. I woke up one morning at 18 weeks and felt amazing. It will pass, go with it, rest as much as you can. Get some P-5-P (vit B derivative) from a good health food shop (wish I'd known this as it's meant to work wonders for nausea) I do empathise but hang in there, it may well disappear sooner than you think. Good luck.

Morning,

Just wanted to reassure you that it should get better. I felt terrible in my first 13 weeks - I have never felt nausea or tiredness like it. The thing that kept me going was a comment I found in one of the websites that update you on babies development - it stated that it was a good thing you were pregnant as if you didn't know, you'd think you were dying. A bit extreme, but it made me realise it was 'normal'. I phoned my friend to ask her why the hell she hadn't warned me it was so bad and she replied that if she had, I'd never have got pregnant! I know it's different for everyone, but I'll always warn my friends that the first 3 months will be (very) rough.
On the positive side (not sure if it will help at this stage) - I have loved my second and third trimesters - telling everyone that being pregnant is brilliant (and this is despite my spd etc etc).
I hope the sickness passes asap for you all xx

Are you drinking water though? I was like this in my first trimester and eneded up in hopsital with dehydration and liver and kidney infections from being dehydrated.

Woke up on the first day of week 14 and felt magic! 29+6 now and all has been fine since

Please try to get some fluid; ice cubes, ice loliies, melon, anything if you can't face drinking a glass of water.
