Hey 👋🏻

I am due my second baby in December what would you put them in at night would it be a sleeping bag? Our house can get a little warm even in the winter. I feel a bit clueless cos my first daughter was born in the summer and it was a heatwave.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Congratulations! My December baby is six this time round.

I think we just had a love to dream swaddle and a sleep suit.

I had an August baby and will be having a November/December baby soon.

I'm planning on using cellular blankets to start with probably with vest and sleepsuit and then have bought 2.5 tog sleeping bags to go with long sleeved vests. I'm basing this on assuming the bedroom will be around 18-20 degrees. Could use sleeping bags from the start but I'm reluctant when they're tiny for some reason.

i was thinking maybe a vest , sleep suit and blanket and just double folding it just to keep the warmth in. Will you only use the sleeping bag with long vests and no sleep suit with it?

I'll use cellular blankets, either thin ones or hand knitted ones just to make sure they're breathable. I used a moses basket last time and made sure to tuck them in under the matress so they stayed put. It's hard when you start with just blankets in hospital so get slightly used to it.

Yes, probably just long vests but with nice warm sleeping bags. Although you can go for a cooler sleeping bag and more layers underneath if you prefer.

Our December baby is 32.
Sleeping bags hadn't been invented.
Vest, babygro, cardigan, cellular blankets (which are v v warm)
Heating on at about 20
To be honest, he never got cold because he was mostly in my arms and a lot of sleep was done in the nursing chair (not acceptable now, but not frowned on then)

By the time he was about 1, fleecy babygro's had come in!
