Stretch and sweep at 37+6

Im currently 37 weeks +6 and my doctor is happy for me to have a stretch and sweep due to the baby measuring large. Currently the estimate weight is 8.1 pounds, this is my second baby and the estimate weight at 39 weeks (when they would be willing to induce) Would be around 8.8/9 pounds. Im aware that theses estimates aren't accurate. They have also asked for us to decided on a birthing plan. Informed us of the possible risks for both c section and natural. Currently i have been experiencing increased discharge, lightening crotch, and a fair bit of pressure if this is any sign that my body may be ready.

Has anyone had any success with the stretch and sweep this early?
Any advice on labouring a possible large baby? My first baby weight 7.1 when born

Feeling quite scared about it and worried.

It seems rather early to start interventions. I know it's uncomfortable, but an the evidence suggests babies do better with the extra week or two.

Id be surprised if they could even manage a sweep at this stage. My advice would be just to ignore the numbers (decline any further scans) and wait for your baby. (I know it's anecdotal but ive done this twice and had one 9lb10 at 41+5 and 8lb10 at 42+5 with no complications)

Induction also carries a risk of shoulder dystocia which is the risk they claim for 'big baby' and 60% of babies predicted to be 'big' (by who's standard?!) turn out not to be anyway.

Also those larger ones were much easier labours than my 8lb!
