BFN and ovulation after miscarriage

Hi everyone
I had a medicated miscarriage last week (8th Oct) after a scan showed no embryo, just a sac and yolk. I thought I was around 9 weeks pregnant. It's been a week and I just took a pregnancy test and still I am testing positive. Appreciate it's only been a week but my partner and I are very keen to TTC as soon as we can. We obviously won't do so until I have a BFN.

I wondered whether anyone had experience of ovulating after miscarriage BEFORE testing negative? Or do most people test negative first THEN ovulate? Not sure if hormones play a part so wanted to gauge other people's experience
Thanks in advance!

Personally I didn’t ovulate until after I tested negative. It took me 4-5 weeks to test fully negative after a surgical management.

Sorry for your loss, it's horrible.

I tested negative then ovulated about two weeks later (and conceived that cycle, so it can happen quickly).

Wishing you lots of luck x

Thanks @ChasingRainbow5 and @CrappyBottle. I think I'm just a bit inpatient to TTC - this is my second consecutive miscarriage sadly. Sounds like it can vary person to person as to whether you have a BFN before or after ovulation so will wait and see what happens. Thanks again both and sorry you had to go through this too x
