No I didn't have this - but I have heard about it. I think you should probably pop down to your GP as soon as you can as it sounds a bit extreme and you should get it sorted out if only for your own physical comfort.

Am now 26 weeks but also had this early on and it calmed down - I presumed it was the skin stretching and used loads of moisturiser which seemed to help.

Wrap a wet facecloth round some ice. Would make dr's or MW appt tomorrow.

I got v.itchy boobs when breasfeeding, with accompanying rash, and GP said it was Folliculitis. Worth seeing your GP or MW if you are worried - not sure if you could also get this in pregnancy?

Hiyer,

my boobs were soooo itchy and hot as well as achy and sore (lovely)from before I knew I was pg (assumed it was my period) but sorted themselves out by about week 12.

I didn't do anything about it apart from feel sorry for myself and scratch a lot when I was by myself!! Think springerspaniel has the right idea!! Wish I'd thought of that

I had this from about weeks 15 to 17 as they changed texture and shape and colour. Felt like I suddenly had a pair of cricket balls in the ends of a pair of tights dangling from my chest, with a vibrator attached to each one! And itchy - I slapped moisturiser on them loads which helped a bit.

Then they settled down and have been well-behaved since - they now look like my breasts, only the 21st-century new-colour-scheme pregnancy-upgrade version!

Thanks Ladies, i will try the moisturiser i have been using on my belly. Failing that i will try the wet cloth. I have an opt at the doct next week so will bring this up too. Saying that is not that bad today, not sure if its because the weather is cooler!

Yep I'm having this too (5 weeks pg) - if ANYONE comes near my nipples they are in serious trouble

minouminou · 02/07/2008 09:19

Would a tighter/more supportive bra help?
What kinda fabric are your bras?
I'm asking this because I found 100% cotton, quite matronly ones helped me....if they were strapped up and immobile, i found the itching and burning wasn't as bad.

LullyMummaOfOne · 02/07/2008 10:12

I was thinking of investing in some support bras, i am top heavy so think it will help lots. I am currenlt wearing cotton, very plain bras but they are underwired. I hate the fancy bras as they are so uncomfortable.

I might pop to M&S at lunch to see what they have.
