Hi Guys,

18 wks gone and haven't felt anything yet?was reading in my book that i should start feeling movement from 16 - 20 weeks, am i just being paranoid?
Also what is rubella? apparently I'm not Immune. I know its the R part of MMR but i don't know what i should be looking for incase i get it or is that not likely either?

Also, you'll all want to slap me after i say this but, I am actually shitting it! Terrified of giving birth, breast feeding and actually being able to be a mum!!! Ive gotta husband who's ''done it all before!'' and a pal who has 4! sprogs, and I just think i'll get it all wrong, be useless and they'll try take over, like ''this is how you do it,...see!''

I didn't feel movements prperly with my first until I was 20 weeks so don't worry about that.

Rubella is german measles, so avoid anybody with any sort of rash!

Of course you're terrified of becoming a mum - I was and I'm now pg with number 3 so I can't be that bad! By the time you reach 40 weeks, chances are you won't give a shit about giving birth, do your research and find otu abou tpain relief, birthing pools etc to help you feel more in control. Re breastfeeding, there are lots of bf counsellors, support phone lines etc - make use of them.

Keep postign on MN, it will keep you sane

Feeling movement depends on how your baby is lying and where the placenta is. If you're worried, try to get an appointment with the mw and she can have a listen to the heartbeat.

Rubell: german measles. If you;re not immune, avoid children who have it. It can cross the placenta, so if you catch it while pg it can affect the foetus (though I think the main risk is in the 1st trimester)

Evceryone is scared! You are the best mum your child coould have. Listen to advise but do things your own way!
