Hi
I've not posted online like this before. Just wanting to see if there are any other women out there having gone through this before for support.
I'm 36, been trying for nearly 2 years and recently just gave up thinking it wouldn't happen. I've never been pregnant before. I was 5 days late but my periods can be late so I didn't think anything of it. I was getting what I thought was PMS pains plus I have endometriosis so I am used to bad pain. I tested on day 5 of being late in the morning and it was faint. Went after work to Tesco to get a super sensitive tester and started getting more stomach pains when I was walking. I tested and I am pregnant. But throughout the night my pain was more on my left like trapped wind.
Yesterday, Friday morning, I went to A&E with pain as I couldn't stand upright. I had a scan and they've diagnosed pregnancy of unknown location and went through possible options, I could be miscarrying, it could be an ectopic or okay. She said I have like ovulated from my left ovary.
My pain was more.varied throughout the day like a dull pain then gets sharp on my left. My only other pregnancy symptoms are my boobs are killing, I have to wear a sports bra all the time. I'm home now and having to repeat the bloods in 48 hours which will be tomorrow morning Sunday.
I just feel in shock. I didn't think we'd ever get pregnant, my husband is 51 and we'd been referred to the fertility clinic. It was my friends wedding today and I was a bridesmaid but it was 3 hours away so I've had to cancel attending.
I'm normally an emotional person and cry easily feeling empathy for people. But I just feel numb like I'm in shock. I know I've seen I'm pregnant but it doesn't feel real. I don't know what level of cramping is normal for a new mum. We had booked to carry on travelling to up to Northumberland after the wedding for all next week and weekend. I've had to cancel the BNB this weekend for my friends wedding. I haven't told her what is wrong with me. I don't want her to worry and I want her to enjoy her wedding day today. Sorry it's such a long post and thanks for reading.
