Confused

i had a private scan 10+5. she said my scan was perfect but then at the end she said the baby has fluid on/ around the brain? Is this Something to be concerned of as I’ve never heared of this before… been told to tell NHS and be monitored. Anyone been through this???

also, any guesses on gender :)

Did you not ask her what she meant? Perhaps a call to the scan unit to find out

I have got an update

After being so unprofessional. I was sent NHS, the scan revealed raised Nuchal thickness of 3.7mm diagnosed with cystic hygroma. Baby is 11.2 weeks, also fluid on the baby’s belly. I have had this scan and awaiting a drs appointment I assume with a consultant. I’ve never heared of this in my life. I’ve had urgent blood tests to rule out any abnormalities so I’m awaiting results which is so hard.
