Hi all,

Im just after experiences really. Im 4+2 (I think) with my 4th pregnancy.

Im hyper aware of my left side since having my 3rd daughter and always aware when I ovulate on that side. I dont know why that is.

Anyway for a few days now I've noticed a dull ache on that side. It's maybe a little stitch like at times, id say maybe a 2 on a pain scale to 10. Im just aware it aches a bit. I have no bleeding and no clear shoulder pain.

I went to the GP today who referred me to A&E querying ectopic. I was seen and sent away with a referral to Early Pregnancy Unit at 9am tomorrow.

I suppose im just sort of sat in limbo feeling anxious. Im after experiences of anyone who clearly did have ectopic (particularly this early on) and what that felt like vs maybe if you experienced similar but went on to have a normal pregnancy?

If you made it this far, truly thanks.

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing this.

I had an ectopic pregnancy. I had no symptoms at all other than a small amount of bleeding after sex. I have also had other pregnancies that I’ve had pain and bleeding, and they’ve been absolutely fine and healthy.

It could be something, it could be nothing. Hope all goes well tomorrow. It’s really good that you’re being seen so early and so quickly so hopefully you’ll have answers either way.

Thankyou for your reply. Wow, is it unusual to have no symptoms? How did they notice it?

Thankyou. I have 3 other children so Im very conscious I want to be on the safe side. It feels a bit of no mans land at the moment. Confused

I had a scan in the EPAU which showed it. I’d assume that’s what you’ll have tomorrow to check where baby is situated. Good luck!

It could be normal implantation pain and I think 4 weeks is quite early to have any ectopic pregnancy symptoms, but you’re definitely doing the right thing getting it checked out

Thankyou. I was seen. I am being treated for a UTi but the doctor has also referred me for a scan. And he has done bloods and swabs. This stage is hard to understand. I do appreciate your positive reply.
