is there anything else I should be doing to help ?

I drank all the raspberry leaf tea and did dates etc., and still my first labour was very long. I did prenatal yoga in person twice a week and online every day. I did labour exercises (check out Allie Brisco on instagram), went for long walks, perineum massage, you name it!

Second baby I did wayyy less and she flew out. I still really enjoyed all the time I spent at yoga and moving my body, so do what makes you feel good. And remember that these things might or might not help, and however your birth goes was not a reflection on whether you did enough in the run up to it. Enjoy this time!

If you can work on optimal positioning for the baby, and mobility for you, that can stack the odds in your favour of an easy delivery. Ask your midwives what position baby is in, and look up spinning babies for birth resources.

& Remember, no matter how birth goes, it's one experience that doesn't define your motherhood journey. You'll be a mum for the rest of your life no matter how you give birth.
