Early labour signs

Hello, almost 37 weeks now and don’t remember feeling how I’m feeling with my last - never went in to labour and had a planned section. So I’m just wondering what people’s early signs of labour was?

I’ve been experiencing lower backache and a lot of pressure and swelling (TMI) down there for over a week now. Looser stool also for last couple of weeks which late last night turned in to Diarrhoea, continuing today. A lot of pelvic pressure today which I’m used to at this point but this is constant regardless of whether I’m walking, sat down or laid down! I’m also a little under the weather today, congestion etc.

Wondering how you all felt before and for how long? Any signs that you completely missed?

TIA ☺️

Looser stools can defo indicate labour is approaching. I went into natural labour at 38 weeks (had planed section booked for 39 weeks so didn’t quite make it!) had lower back ache for a week or so, cramping lots and lots of cramping is the biggest symptom that sticks out to be pre labour!

I had loose stools and his head was engaged 3 weeks before I went into labour with my first. I was told he may well come early but he was a week late. Then I had very little sign of my second coming -just the mucus plug in the morning but he was born at 37.3 weeks.
now I am 28 weeks with my 3rd and already have the pelvic pressure and swelling!
I think each pregnancy and labour are different and the signs can be something or nothing. Good luck! 😊
