Pregnancy Worries

On the off chance anyone is awake, a little offload. I’m 36 weeks pregnant and have struggled with anxiety during pregnancy, I feel as though I’ve been a more than average visitor to triage. Whilst they've always been lovely and told me I've done the right thing, I can't help but feel a little boy who cried wolf. My partner is great, but has a demanding job and currently trying to finish a number of projects ahead of paternity leave. Currently wide awake but don’t want to disturb him with my worries.

I was admitted to hospital with dehydration last week following sickness which was affecting babies heart rate. I was hoping that I wouldn’t need to go to triage again before they arrive now, but I’ve woken up with terrible itchy hands and feet. Of course having googled it says call triage as it could be an issue, but now I’m second guessing are they even itchy or at this stage is my mind just playing tricks on me to cause more worry.

If you have any concerns do go to triage it doesn't matter if it's nothing, let them see you to put your mind to ease. You are not the only one who might be a bit more anxious then normal during pregnancy they seen and heard it all. Don't feel like you're overreacting or anything like that. I would definitely share all my worries with my partner btw you are in this together. Not long to go now! You will be just fine!!!♥️

Thank you for your reply. I’ve had a chat with my partner about what was keeping me up last night. We’re going to give triage a call later if it hasn’t subsided. I feel like the last few weeks are going to be the slowest of my life whilst I’m just eager to not be as worried anymore

Itchiness can be a sign of gestational choleostasis which I had in two of my pregnancies so I would go in and be seen just in case. You’ll be fine. Good luck!
