9 weeks pregnant and sick of being so sick

#Pregnancy9Weeks I have to make a bit of a pity post. I’m just so sick and I’m sick of being sick. It’s exhausting everyday waking up and thinking of what I need to try avoid to not be sick, what can I eat taht won’t make me sick. It’s been 3 weeks now and I know being really sick at week 9 is normal. But I am so miserable. And I feel like screaming when Somone says “don’t worry you’ll feel better at about 12/13/14 weeks” . I know they mean well but my days feel so long and like torture right now so the idea that I have 3/4/5 more weeks of this before I might feel better only makes me sob.

I’m on anti nausea meds from my doctor, which help a bit but I am still in hell. I do all the things - I eat ginger biscuits, survive off crackers if I need to, I eat better outside the house so it’s costing me a fortune. I’m doing everything I can and o don’t know what I want Somone to say … but I just want to scream

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Ask for different drugs. If one doesn't work, there are others. I think I tried 3 before it helped.

No advice, just sympathy for you.
I was sick for the whole 9 months with my first. I lost alot of weight. The midwife thought I was starving myself on purpose. There was no sympathy in the 80's. I was even sick during delivery, but as soon as I gave birth the sickness stopped and I was starving hungry. I was sick for 6 months with my next two.

Couldn’t read and run - it’s awful. I also was sick throughout (hopefully things will get better for you but only say this as everyone kept telling me it would get better which is why I didn’t go nuclear with antisickness) - there’s at least 3-4 antisickness you can try in pregnnacy with a newer drug xonvea which is the only / first antisickness licensed specifically for pregnancy. I would push for that although not sure if GPs can prescribe - may have to go through maternity team.

If working - take sick leave, and do what you can each day but don’t feel bad about just lying on the sofa. It’s rank but yoj will get through it. Sending positive vibes x

Thank you . Yes that’s the one I’m on from the doctors. It certainly helps a bit but to be honest it mainly just helps me sleep at night because it makes you drowsy lol.

But yes currently my bedroom is a prison lol, it’s the only room in my house which makes me feel less sick (smell aversion) so I’m bed bound lost the day , which I think is adding to my fed up mood lol

I’m now 19 weeks and felt like you until 16 weeks. I feel like a different person now - hopefully your sickness also subsides soon as it was exhausting and miserable.

I’m sorry but I was nauseous and exhausted until 20 weeks or just after that. Also had pubis symphysis.

Solidarity op, I’m also 9 weeks pregnant and feeling miserable. I’m so sick of feeling sick and like you, can’t imagine feeling like this for another 4+ weeks. I’m also on xonvea and disappointed to still feel so bad.
