Hi all! New on here so sorry if I don’t use the right lingo.

Im on my 3 pregnancy (previous 2 c sections- I wanted natural with my first but big baby and failed induction meant emergency c section and I was advised for a second c section on the history of my first) fast forward to today I’m 20 week pregnant and had a scare that I might have had placenta accreta. I have now been seen by a specialist at the Portland street hospital (who is top in this field) who says this is not the case which naturally I’m relieved about however he has said that my placenta is close to my cervix 10mm away and because it will be my 3 section and I have a partially retroverted uterus my 3 c section could potentially be a complex one.

I am looking for advice on who is the best obstetrician for these sort of cases. Initially I was going to go privately (prior to any talks of complexities/ pas) as I thought 3rd time round this might be better (I’m from Nottingham and we haven’t had the best headlines in the news lately about the maternity care) however I’m now torn as I was told that I could of qualified for a pas center where they have the best specialists/ access to large blood banks etc. however this was explained to me when they thought I potentially could have have pas but not sure that a complicated pregnancy with no placenta accreta would qualify for that now so I guess my question is- where is the next best place/ consultant for complicated c section delivery’s should I not qualify for a pas center and not feel comfortable staying in Nottingham.

Thanks for reading! :)
