Boy or umbilical cord?

Hi,
We had a gender scan yesterday at 15 weeks and 4 days. It took them a while to get the shot as baby was in the wrong position, then the umbilical cord was also there. They eventually said boy, but I'm nervous of now buying boy things if this is still the umbilical cord we're looking at and it's actually a girl?! What does everyone think?

Boy, but try not to get too much 'gendered' stuff. You don't know what he'll prefer in the future. Stay neutral for now. Congratulations, I have three fab boys.
