Grumpy and really cranky..is this too a phase or am I stuck feeling grouchy until Christmas?

Last pregnancy I was just tearful and emotional. This pregnancy, my word, I am so cranky, grumpy and irritable.

I have to frequently remind myself that it's the hormones so I don't feel like too much of a horrible person.

If DH catches me on a bad day with one irritating remark I just can't let it go - I am perfectly happy to grouch and yell at him even when he's trying to walk away and end such a ridiculous discussion.

Is this normal? And will it last for months? I'm 15 weeks today.

I was foul when I was carrying my DS. But not when I was carrying my DD. Was told this was due to testosterone levels.

The foulness pretty much lasted the duration, though there was a rosy patch in the 5,6,7 th months.

I'm 13 weeks pregnant with a broken ankle. my poor DH can't do or say anything right! My second too. I broke my ankle the week after we had IVF so all my pregnancy symtoms and broken ankle symptoms - ie extreme grumpiness with no hard drugs, or even bloody wine to get me through have kinda merged. My physio today said I could be off my crutches and walking in 4 weeks - I wonder whether I'll have to start behaving myself then!

Oh poor you halsmum. At least you'll have built some more upper body strength being on those crutches which is useful for carrying little ones around after they're born.

First pregnancy I was sleepy and floaty. Was quite relaxed about everything and generally quite serene.

This pregnancy (am now 39 weeks) I am exhausted and GRUMPY. Generally horrible to be around. It has lasted most of the 39 weeks I'm afraid. Poor DH and DS.

Think it is due to having a crazy toddler around and also extra hassle of him waking to go for a wee or having nightmares due to being chased by dinosaurs/spiders/wolves in the middle of the night. Also no lie-ins.

Thanks all! Halsmum you poor thing!

I think you're right and it's due to extra tiredness this time around. I did wonder if it meant I was having a DS, but nuchal scan said 70% DD! Maybe this one will be a lot stroppier than my other two!

Am trying to count to ten today before shouting at people .

cranky for the last month or so and due next week. Feel sorry for DH and DD, trying hardest not to bite aswell.

Hormones all over the place. Hope yours doesn't go on for another few months....take as much time away by yourself as needed.
