Swaddles/sleep sacks

Good morning,

I am currently pregnant and looking at swaddles/sleep sacks. Can anyone recommend any good ones for newborn/0-3 months? Which ones are best in your opinion: love to dream, Tommee tippee or sweet dreams?

ideally unless baby is a premi I don’t want to get a tiny size as I know how quickly the can grow.

Love to Dream! My baby slept so much better in them than any other type, plus they look super cute waving their arms around like little flippers 🤣

We just had some from Vinted, probably M&S or a supermarket brand. Mine would never be swaddled anyway, and if you cosleep, you won't need anything as they get warmth from you. I wouldn't waste money on those expensive brands.

Another vote for love to dream, we had a winter baby so was good for the cold weather too. Also agree with the poster above on how cute they look with their arms like penguins

Our house also gets chilly so we used the 2.5 Tog as our bedroom sat at around 17 degrees in the night. We bought a newborn and a small size before baby was born, ended up using the small quite quickly as our little man wasn't so little and came out over 9lbs lol so the newborn didn't last long for us

I’d say wait until baby arrives. Any sleep sack needs to be sized by weight and not age. It then also needs to be snug around the arms etc. some babies won’t like swaddling as well.

I had two winter babies and loved a sleeping bag for them. I got a winter tog one from Sainsbury’s I think. Great for night feeds. both my babies were over 9lbs so we could use these from day 1.

@claireday03 I would probs get one just in case, as will all depend on the size and weight of your bub when they're born. But in saying that, you could always not get any and wait till they're born and see. Amazon stock them so you could get them next day when the time comes
