Hi
This is my fourth pregnancy. I've always had morning sickness but this pregnancy has just floored me. I had to start taking xonvea 4 tablets a day at 5 weeks pregnant. I managed to get my dose down to 1 tablet at 9 weeks and stopped taking the tablet. Within 24 hours all my symptoms had returned so I had to restart my full dose again. I'm now 12 weeks and 3. I've been having some evening sickly feelings but nothing I couldn't cope with. So for the last 2 weeks I've been down to 1 tablet so last night I didn't take my tablet and this morning oh my goodness. I feel so sickly. I cant stop heaving. I've always had relief from morning sickness by this point in previous pregnancy's. Has anyone else stopped there tablets and had "withdrawal" symptoms similar to this or is it still my morning sickness continuing? Thanks for reading 😌

In both of my pregnancies the morning sickness lasted for the entire pregnancies. I had to try several different medications including xonvea. I think xonvea made my sickness even worse.
The medication that worked best for me was cyclizine.

I had severe sickness for months in my first two pregnancies so pre-empted it with the third and tried Xonvea very early on. I was so much better on that than in either of my other pregnancies. I ran out of tablets at one point when I was about 12 weeks for a couple of days (my own fault, and a bank holiday weekend so made it hard to get the meds, none of the local pharmacies had it in stock). I got very quickly much more sick and ended up having to take a month off work and exclusively home work for a further 2 months. I did wean off it, I think I was about 6 months pregnant. However I did have mild nausea throughout the entire pregnancy which I just put up with although was unpleasant. It literally immediately disappeared once I'd given birth, I could practically feel it lift it was amazing.

I had two normal pregnancies but this one was bad and I was on Xonvea. I remember I had huge fear in coming off and tried a few times. First few times were not successful as I just felt too sick and had to go back on after a day or two but the I think it was close to 20 weeks or so, I tried again and was tolerable. For me, it felt like when the body is ready, you can come off easily but if not, then keep going with it. I probably should mention I was mostly on one tablet a day rather than more. Also one thing I read is never split a tablet as there are some advice online saying to do so to help coming off.

if I remember correctly there is advice to taper off the Xonvea as have it alternate days, that don’t work for me but worth checking and read upon it.

good luck and hope you feels better soon!
