Scan - dating and retroverted uterus

I had a scan at the early pregnancy unit today. I should be 8 weeks. The sonographer noted I have a retroverted uterus and how my bowel
Was in the way. She then said I’m measuring 6 weeks (dates wouldn’t add up) noting the yolk sac only and she can’t comment much further come back in two weeks.
The whole thing felt a bit off. I’m still testing positive and got on going symptoms. Anyone had similar

Was it an ultrasound over the abdomen or vaginal?

I’ve got a retroverted uterus and I’ve never had any difficulties with dating scans, even very early but I know some people can, especially abdominal ultrasounds.

I have a retroverted uterus, I only know as it was mentioned in passing by a medical person. I don’t think it makes much difference to anyone. My now adult DC are unaware they formed in a tilted uterus come to think of it!! Good luck, wishing you a happy pregnancy.

Did they see a heartbeat or even a fetal pole? Were you tracking ovulation or are you going only by your last period?
