Hi everyone,
Currently 31 weeks pregnant and diagnosed with a PE in my left lung not really given much information other than someone from anticoagulant clinic will be in touch and they will monitor me for the remainder of my pregnancy and postpartum.
I have been given inhixa injections to take morning and night but was told they don’t do any further scans to check it’s gone and this terrifies me because how will I know things are better?
My mind went completely blank and don’t feel I asked the doctors questions as I just burst out crying and I think he was a bit taken aback with my reaction and scurried out the room. I have quite severe health anxiety and have done since my mum passed away a few years ago at the age of 40 unexpectedly so this is honestly a huge fear of mine having something like this.
I suppose what I want to know is did this change anything in terms of delivery, any potential complications for yourself or baby, did you get induced or advised to have an elective c section, did it change anything in terms of options for pain relief and is this honestly standard to not have a follow up scan?
My mind is all over the place and I am just in such a state I put these feelings down to anxiety so for once didn’t rush to the hospital like I normally would do but obviously now so glad I did. I can’t help thinking that this is going to be fatal for me and I think it’s making the discomfort feel worse because I am panicking 😩
Any advice/ experiences anything would be appreciated massively.
