Magnesium glycinate for leg cramps and restless legs in pregnancy

Hello everyone, I'm about the start Magnesium glycinate 18 weeks pregnant for leg cramps and rls. Please can anyone give me any hopeful stories of it helping and how long it took thank you 🙏 x

Sorry but I found it made hardly any difference however drinking tonic water really helped

In addition to magnesium glycinate, you can also use magnesium sleep cream and magnesium spray. I find that these make my restless legs more manageable. (I have severe restless legs as a side effect of kidney disease).

To be fair, I have had two iron infusions, which you would probably not be eligible for. They may also be helping.

Hi, unfortunately I’m unable to offer advice to relieve leg cramps. I read the posts on this thread and thought I’d let you know that tonic water is not advised during pregnancy

I haven’t tried that, but for me tying a long sock tightly around the ball of each foot helped hugely. I tried to just do 5 mins but would often fall asleep while they were there!
