Hi everyone,
I had my 20-week anomaly scan and thankfully everything was normal. Baby’s measurements were all appropriate for gestation, anatomy looked normal, fluid and placenta were normal and the report also says the uterine artery Dopplers were normal.
At the end, the sonographer mentioned that I would have a growth scan at 28 weeks and said to speak to my midwife about it. I asked whether baby’s measurements were okay and he said yes.
There’s nothing on the report mentioning growth concerns or explaining why I need another scan, so I’m a little confused!
Has anyone else been given a 28-week growth scan despite having a completely normal 20-week scan and normal Dopplers? If so, what was the reason in your case? Was it just routine/extra monitoring?
Thanks! x
