Bleeding at 14 weeks with a haematoma, has anyone experienced this?

Hello, I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant and at 7 weeks was told I have a hematoma, it’s still there now at 14 weeks however I’ve been bleeding for two weeks, scan confirmed baby is still okay. Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve had 4 children but never had a hematoma or bleeding with them so I’m very anxious and find it’s completely taking over my thoughts. I’m sorry the photos aren’t pretty but just showing what the bleeding is like.

Yes , I had a slight bleed at 7 weeks and then a massive one at 12 weeks. I honestly thought the pregnancy was lost. I had my 12 week scan the next morning and was amazed that baby was fine. They found the hematoma which explained the bleeding. I had some more spotting for a couple of weeks and when I was scanned again at 16 weeks it had gone and everything was fine..

I did, 15 weeks with my first. Terrifying and bled heavily at first and then slowly for the next couple of weeks. Baby was totally fine and I never had this again with my subsequent pregnancies.

I had a huge and sudden bleed with one of mine at around 12 weeks. I actually assumed I had miscarried. So much blood - trousers ruined - no way still pregnant. Had had quite a few miscarriages prior so didn't do a scan to check, just assumed. Was also overseas at the time (up a mountain!).

Was most surprised a few months later when I got bigger and then started to feel kicks and realised I had not lost the baby at all. She's 9 now.

I did bleed a lot immediately after that labour. I mean waaaay more than is usual. Was in a midwife-led centre which was a worry, but thankfully it stopped before I got to needing a transfusion.

I don't think anyone mentioned haematoma to me at any point, but I assume that's what it was.

I have had this, I had bleeding at 5/6 weeks and a small hematoma was found. Then I had a big bled at 12 weeks, had a scan and baby was completely fine and then I had my dating scan and saw baby at 13 weeks happy and measuring perfectly. I had some bleeding a week later which is still ongoing now, so I had another scan last week due to this and again baby was healthy and happy measuring on time 14 weeks 3 days, I’ve had brown bleeding now for over a week but the blood was seen over my cervix so it’s just my body expelling the old blood. It seems to be very common but something that clearly isn’t spoken about enough. I have a 16 week scan book next week so really hopefully it’s mostly resolved or gone by then. @IcyNavyCatI’m 16+4 and have had two enormous bleeds from haematomas. First at 7+1, it was like two water balloons had popped and I passed a clot about 1/3 the side of my palm. I had intense bleeding for 48 hours and then bled similar to your photos for a couple of weeks, it took about 3 weeks to stop completely

Second one was around 12 weeks, about half the amount of blood as the first and smaller clots. Again heaving bleeding for two days and took another two weeks or so to stop

I was on a lot of progesterone because of IVF when the first bleed happened, and was given two weeks after the second happened. To be honest I’m not convinced it made any difference

It’s so scary and I felt really deflated after the second bleed, like I was sure this couldn’t possibly end well after so much bleeding. Actually posted on here and women replied with similar stories

I randomly had a week of low level brown bleeding last week and it’s now stopped again.

If this is new bleeding I would ask for a scan. Did they mention if they were concerned about the size or location of the haematoma? It’s only something they worry about as I understand it if it’s very large or under the placenta. Obviously still feels worrying to us when we are bleeding in pregnancy! But hopefully a scan will show bebe is very happy in there. Remember too brown blood is a good sign. I did though have some very bright red blood in my two big bleeds and it was still ok, I did get both checked out though.
