exterme pain.... HELP...ADVICE....

i have been havign pain everytiem i cough for about 3-4 weeks now, on my back, right hand side, jsut aroudn the ribs, its very tender and sore...

last night it got worse, it now hurts everytime i move, put prerssure on it, touch it....

im not sure whats wrong...rang nhs direct, they sed to go labour ward and get it checked out, as it could b the kidneys...are the kidneys that high up ( sily question i knw)

i cant go to labour ward, as hubby at work and wont be home until 5.30...

help

it is possible you have sprained something . or pulled something especially if you have been coughing a lot

can someone else take you to labour ward?

i thought kidneys were a bit lower down..

were you advised to take any pain medication or take a bath or anything like that?

when i was having my ds imanged to break a rib coughing i would go to get checked out they said my cough was due to hartburn to much acid

no else cn take me... havent been given no other advice as im 37+5 days...

took paracetamol, didnt do anything.

i did hear a crack befor ei got in exterme pain.

can you take a taxi? if you heard a crack then that could be a rib going!

you may be able to take codine as well but but u need to go and get checked out first

How about DH coming home early? is that possible? If he knows how much pain you are in?

are there any community midwives you can ask to come to you?

i agree if you are in that much pain phone labour ward and if they say come in get dh home

dh is only one of 2 at work ,im gonna go ring labour ward, its at my back ( dnt kwn if i made it clear)...i hope its not my ribs, heres hopin is muscular...

ok, call labour ward immediately and get some advice. they might be able to send someone out to you .

How far along are you? Do u hv any other symptoms?

Are you experiencing nausea? Can you move your knees towards your chest?

37+5 ...jus sore and tender...

no nausea...and it hurts if i move towards my chest.

did you call labour ward?

It sounds like the baby may be pressing on some organ or the ribs in general.

yeh i went to labour ward, they sed its inflammation of that area, due to my coughing, gave me sum pain killers, and also pirition on percription to stop my coughing, still in pain, but its more bareable
