Has anyone experienced lower ankle swelling third trimester!? It’s gradually come on along with my hands but my right seems to be more swollen than the left? (Attached a photo.) had a BP check and urine check and no issues but not sure if I should be worried? Never had this with my first!!

i would get checked out today one leg swelling can be a sign of deep vein thrombosis. I learnt this watching EastEnders

Yes, definitely get it checked today. I had this and they did a Doppler (ultrasound) on that leg to rule out a dvt.

I had this and eventually developed a blood clot in my leg - however isn’t dvt they did an ultrasound to check but def worth getting it looked at

This happened to me and my friend. We both had to go in to check for a blood clot and we were given anti clotting injections in the meantime.

How far along are you? They look quite badly swollen. Mine were about that or worse when I had preeclampsia. It could also be a clot.

Asymmetry in the legs is probably bad news. I had swollen ankles in my 2nd pregnancy and developed preeclampsia. I think it might have turned up prior to the high blood pressure and protein.

I’m nearly 38 weeks, I’ve got a GP appointment tomorrow following my midwife appointment today she said it’s about 0.5cm over the left leg but because of no pain or heat she’s not concerned and urine is fine Bp is on the lower end and no visual/headaches/rib pain. She hopes they’ll do a Doppler
