Anyone faced IVF, TFMR and deciding on a final embryo transfer?

Hi everyone,
Is there anyone on here who has gone through IVF only for it to end with a TFMR due to a fatal fetal abnormality (anencephaly). We have devastatingly just come through this experience and still very numb. It is the absolute worst place to be and the impossible decisions are torture. It was always my worst nightmare. Having had three previous miscarriages I had experienced the loss of babies but this was something so so different. Genuinely would not wish it on my worst enemy.
We have two embryos left but not sure there is any hope for them. As we did have one live birth from this cycle and the pregnancy above that resulted in heartache. We have been through 13 cycles I can’t put my body through another retrieval but I think I could possible attempt one last final FET (I’m 42.5). Has anyone been in this position? So torn on what to do. Sending so much love out there in the absolute trenches of it all. It sucks. And then you think of I’m on the other side it’s ripped away again. I’m sick of being in the “rare” statistics pile 😞

I’m so sorry. I’ve been through pregnancy after a devastating loss. I understand your fears. I’d always have wondered, if I hadn’t made the decision to try again. Does that make sense? It was frightening at times (trying again and then the pregnancy) but I was stronger than I thought.

Only you know. Let as much support in as possible and be gentle with yourself.
